HUMILITY
The earth dangles in the galaxy by
impossibly perfect means.
Spinning on invisible strings, it’s held
so precisely from the sun so life can happen.
A degree closer and earth would be fire
A degree further and earth would be ice.
How can this possibly be!
With so much miraculous mystery
why should I need to understand everything?
I get up in the morning
and kiss my own feet, knowing
this is exactly the shape I need to be
this is the experience that belongs to me
and a force greater than my own changing mind
of thought and desire lights the sky and moves the seas.
