EARTH
When last did you breathe in the freshness of the air
or get drunk on the sweetness of flowers?
When last did you lay on the ground and just let it hold you?
When last did you adorn yourself in beautiful colours of rock and clay?
When last did you fall in love with the sky or let the mountains empty your mind?
When last did you stretch your arms to the sun and give thanks
for your place in this perfectly held orbit?
Don’t toil blindly for a false heaven,
Open your eyes and see you have already arrived.
