SHADOW
I look into your eyes
and see my own reflection.
I see our vulnerability of existence
and all the ways we try to renegade
against the immeasurable fear of loss.
I hold this truth inside of my core,
and the world is like a mirror
showing me the hidden parts I
once tried everything to ignore.
When I turn towards this honesty
my shadows cease to creep up on me
for they have already been freed and
can now be seen dancing with the light.
