ROOT
Life pours into me in proportion to my steadiness.
Anchored to the ground I nurture my
capacity for openness.
I revere the earth I walk and feel a deepening
of trust in myself with every step.
We speak to each other with our hearts,
we sense the line that runs from mine to yours.
We keep that line open.
We protect it from entanglement and from being broken,
not letting it dwindle into the ether like a helium balloon.
This line connects us to the stars,
to the ground, and to each other
it is our root, it is our lifeline.
